Framus Guitar

The Framus Guitar collection exhibits a singular range for a German instrument manufacturer, ranging from the classical violin, the Attila Zoller guitars, to the iconic Star Bass.

Framus Guitar Acoustic served as a forerunner to the industrial manufacture of guitars in Europe and was responsible for a number of innovations and advances that are still in use and relevant today. A portion of these technological advancements are on exhibit in the museum and offer crucial context for a period in German instrument manufacturing history.

Basses and guitars by Framus

From 1946 through 1975, Framus Guitars produced string instruments of all types, including violins, basses, electric guitars, and acoustic guitars. Paul McCartney even possessed a 1950s Framus Guitars model, which he used to write some of his first songs.

Despite the fact that the instruments were well-liked in their day, the firm eventually went bankrupt. However, Warwick revived Framus Guitar Price in 1995 and began making new guitars, a variety of expensive tube amps, and even reproductions of classic Framus Guitars models. Right here on Ultimate Guitar Shop, you can purchase vintage, new, and used Vintage Framus Guitar For Sale and basses.

In 1946, Luby (now in the Czech Republic), then known as Schönbach, the world’s center for the production of violins and other string instruments, was the birthplace of Framus guitar. Fred Wilfer, the company’s founder, was born in a Bohemian neighborhood in 1917. When he learned that Sudeten Germans would be expelled from post-World War II Czechoslovakia, he made the decision to create a new foundation for his countrymen and the western music business.

Before the first train carried violin manufacturers from Schönbach to other locations, Wilfer made contact with several Bavarian government officials and informed them of his ideas.

His approach was well received by the Bavarian government, which tasked him with setting up all of the necessary frameworks for the sector there. He established the Framus Guitar 12 String in 1946 with the goal of bringing attention to the fact that the renowned Schönbach violin manufacturers had relocated to Franconia. The name is an abbreviation for Franconian Musical Instruments.

Used Framus Guitar was in charge of locating housing for the violin makers when the first train carrying them from Schönbach arrived in Erlangen. Additionally, he organized the opening of the first workshops.

Framus Acoustic Guitar

Early in the 1960s, Framus Az 10 For Sale had a folk/western manufacturing line that included the models Dix, King, Gaucho, and Jumbo. However, the country and western scene was much more active in the USA than it was in Germany, and this was reflected in the product line produced by the Bubenreuth factory: by focusing on the fundamentals, the Texan model, which was available as a 6- or 12-string guitar, became a hit.It rose to become one of the most popular Western models ever sold. At the company’s 25th anniversary, the millionth Framus Acoustic Guitar wasn’t a King by chance.

I have worked on several vintage Framus guitars.A good ten to fifteen years ago, I frequently discovered them at flea fairs. Since all of the instruments that used to sell locally seem to have relocated online, they have been missing from them for a very long time.

They are one of those brands that, regardless how worn out the instrument appears, you know it will easily shape-up and develop into a performer. I’ve seen Framusmulti-ply necks (like the one on this one) that have been smashed by thousands of pounds of weight and they’re still as straight and useful as they were before.

Framus 12 String Guitar

vintage models, Despite this, they don’t have a great sound. In a way, this one succeeds in its Framus 12 String Guitar. It has a Framus Az 10 Kaufen  sound, and when you strum on it hard and with a thin, floppier pick, it sounds like a lot of vintage 1960s albums. Even Tom Petty, perhaps? Wilburys on the road? Its clean, jangly, thinnish (but not really… thin?) tone, which is primarily mids and highs, is ideal for rock-style strumming.

Crosspicking? It’s alright, I guess. melodic sections? Hmm, perhaps, but it’s very dull. Big open chords strummed like though you’ve just been playing for nine months and are still high on guitar-intrigue’s wild sugar rush?Yes, yes, yes! Hammer it!

It plays crazily fast as well, so it’s ideal in that capacity. That’s a triumph. These things are stable-stable after the bolt-on necks are firm in their joints as well. The “as-original” configurations on these left a little to be desired due to construction decisions made at the factory, but they have all the necessary components to be excellent performers once they are tuned.
