The Boden’s distinctive acoustic character—clear, organic, and balanced with a quick and articulate pick attack—is greatly influenced by the individual bridge pieces, which were machined from aircraft grade aluminum.
Together, the distinctive hardware, Swamp Ash, and Maple woods provide a sound that is both warm and woody and tight and punchy, and it is remarkably sensitive to even the smallest changes in your playing style. Electronically, Original models feature Fishman active pickups (the Fluence Modern ceramic in the bridge and the alnico in the neck) for the 7- and 8-string models and Suhr passive pickups (SSH+ in the bridge and SSV in the neck) for the 6-string model to faithfully and powerfully transmit the guitar’s natural acoustic characteristics to your preferred amplification systems while providing the sonic flexibility to suit almost all musical genres.
