Buy 1963 Gibson B-25-12 Online
This has been a favorite and main instrument of mine for 5 years. I need to raise some money, so I hope someone buys it who enjoys it as much as me. It has a lot of finish checking and crazing on the front/sides/ back. It has a crack by the neck and pickgaurd which is structurally sound and purely cosmetic. It had a crack in the back too once which appears to have been professionally repaired. Mahogany and spruce top. The tuners are a little bit of a pain to turn but the guitar stays in tune remarkably well.
It has its cosmetic flaws but it also has a lot of mojo and a very playable guitar. Very inspiring tone for rhythm playing or picked sections. The action can go lower but I have it set medium/high because of the tone that lends. I’ve strung it as a 6 string before and that gave a nice tone as well, and helped the playability.
What this guitar excels at is playing open position chords, and being a very tight sounding, expressive rhythm guitar. I’ve written many songs on it. Because of the body style and trapeze tailpiece you can also get very neat mandolin type sounds in the higher registers.
It plays up and down the entire neck. Ships in a generic alligator style plush hard shell case that fits it.
