There are a few locations where the finish shows moderate wear, mostly around the body and headstock edges. On the body’s rear top edge, there is also some mild buckle rash, and some of the little dents on the headstock have been repaired with blue paint. It has been expertly refretted. Because the frets are bigger than the original kind used, there isn’t any obvious damage to the board. For the sort of Fenders that are most often used, new strap buttons have been added.

The bass is all original, however. The truss rods function as expected, and the neck is straight. All hardware and electronics are faultless and in excellent operating condition. With a brand-new set of Rotosound nickel round-wound strings and a fantastic playing action, it is fully set up in our workshop.
