1980 Vintage Rickenbacker 4001 Bass with Beautiful Birdseye Maple For Sale
1980 Vintage Rickenbacker 4001 Bass with Beautiful Birdseye Maple For Sale. The sole modification to this instrument is the installation of Schaller strap locks in lieu of the original strap buttons (for safety while wearing a strap). A contemporary, good-condition Rickenbacker 4003 molded bass case will be used to ship this instrument. One of the metal feet in this molded Rickenbacker SKB case has broken through the molded plastic, which is a common problem. This is the sole drawback to the case. With the exception of one plastic crack caused by the metal foot, the case functions as it should, with all hinges and locks being totally functioning.

Vintage 1980 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Guitar Beautiful Condition
Buy 1980 Vintage Rickenbacker 4001 Bass with Beautiful Birdseye Maple Online. You are aware of what you are seeing if you are here. It’s incredible to see a Rickenbacker 4001 Stereo Bass in person. There’s simply no need to describe it. This bass, which dates to 1980, is dripping with exquisite Birdseye Maple. This kind of beautifully figured Birdseye Maple is uncommon on Rics. On this exquisite instrument, pay particular attention to the natural figure in the well-seasoned, almost 50-year-old wood. There are several spots that nearly resemble dents but don’t. They resemble this beauty’s fine grain structure. This bass does not do the photographs credit.
This bass boasts the legendary Rics’ powerful bottom tone and scale-able snarl.
The neck has the slim contour that so many fans of Rickenbackers like. Unlike the more contemporary and the thick baseball bat deep C profile necks from the mid to late 1970s, certain Rickenbacker basses were produced with thinner, more comfortable, and quicker necks. This bass’ neck is to die for.
The only change to this instrument is the replacement of the original strap buttons with Schaller strap locks (for safety while wearing a strap). This bass will be sent in a modern, in-good-condition Rickenbacker 4003 molded bass case. The only issue with this molded Rickenbacker SKB produced case is that one of the metal feet has broken through the molded plastic, which is a frequent issue. The case works as it should, with all hinges and locks fully functional, save from one plastic break caused by the metal foot.
Please take a good look at each shot, and if there is something in particular you want to see, don’t be afraid to ask for more. I have a lot of images of this bass. The bass has wear that is normal for its age and is in superb vintage shape. Although it has been used, it has been very well maintained. The Rickenbacker 4001 finish has minor swirls, mild wear worming on the back, and a few nicks and bruises here and there, but nothing that detracts from the elegance of this stunning exemplar. Due to the finish’s aging to a golden tint over time, it is just wonderful. Low action and flat wound strings are used to thread the bass. The sound is unmistakably Rickenbacker 4001 throughout!
The owner of this bass will be very pleased of this exquisite antique item!
As a result of the amazing condition that this bass is in, I’m fairly adamant about the pricing. I will, however, consider any reasonable offer if it is made.
Before making an offer or acquiring this great instrument, don’t be afraid to request further pictures. I’m willing to take further images of the bass and email them upon request if I don’t already have the ones you’d want to view. Additionally, please don’t be afraid to ask me any questions.
