Alembic Series I For Sale. Series I guitars, which have been produced continually since 1972, are considered the original Alembic models. The fundamentals haven’t changed much over the years, but we’ve made a few improvements. Thanks to our external “dummy” humcancelling pickup, we begin with fantastic single coil pickup sound with no hum. The signal is processed by our stereo electronics, and for insanely extensive tone sculpting, each pickup uses a 3-position Q switch and its own filter frequency.
