Although it doesn’t sound as well as my 4003, it is more comfy. The earlier model 4001 strap buttons, although still superior to the standard ones created and used by basically every other guitar/bass maker, aren’t as practical nowadays, therefore I’m going to switch to the strap lock buttons presently used for Rics, made by Schaller. I don’t want a typical accident to occur too often. It is recommended to get the strap lock buttons designed for Rickenbackers if you wish to put Schaller strap lock buttons on older Rickenbackers since they are not attached with the ordinary wood screws Schaller typically uses.
