Rickenbacker USA Model 4001 Bass Left-handed 1975 For Sale. One of the all-time iconic rock basses is the Rickenbacker 4001, which was first released as an update to the Rickenbacker 4000. The 4001 allowed bassists a variety of huge bass tones to choose from since it had a massive Rickenbacker bass pickup at the bridge and a smaller bar pickup at the neck. Stereo "Rick-O-Sound" outputs were made a requirement for the 4001 starting in 1971.

Buy Rickenbacker USA Model 4001 Bass Left-handed 1975 Online. This is a left-handed 1978 4001 Mapleglo. The finale has endured well over the last 45 years. Although it doesn’t sound as well as my 4003, it is more comfy. The earlier model 4001 strap buttons, although still superior to the standard ones created and used by basically every other guitar/bass maker, aren’t as practical nowadays, therefore I’m going to switch to the strap lock buttons presently used for Rics, made by Schaller. I don’t want a typical accident to occur too often. It is recommended to get the strap lock buttons designed for Rickenbackers if you wish to put Schaller strap lock buttons on older Rickenbackers since they are not attached with the ordinary wood screws Schaller typically uses. Although I often play flats, I may keep the round wound strings on since the tone is so great. Overall, it is a superb instrument. I would compare the playability to a Fender CS jazz bass. I have both, but I always choose a Ric.
Rickenbacker Model 4001 for lefties was produced in October 1975.
